Presenting the wholesome values of its culture, The Dancers’ Company brings to life luminous visions of the color, motion, fun and feeling of theatrical dance. In works ranging from classical to lyrical to humorous, these exceptional young dancers captivate audiences with their irresistible artistry and sensitivity. The group has twice danced at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., as part of gala performances sponsored by the American College Dance Festival Association. In addition to appearing throughout the United States, the company has been well received in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Argentina, Chile, Turkey, Israel, South Africa and Australia.
The Cancer’s Company delights in helping people to see dance anew and to appreciate its beauty as an art form. The dancers are committed to reaching people of all ages and offer not only formal concerts but also lively and informative lecture-demonstrations known as “Dancing Moves Mel” By presenting a positive impression of dance, the company shows how, through movement, we celebrate the best in ourselves.
The Dancer’s Company originates in the Department of Dance College of Health and Human Performance, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, USA.
