Thursday Club of Thai Red Cross #3 2004-2006

Thursday Club is modeled on the well-known Wednesday Friends Club in Bangkok, the Thursday Club (first Thursday of each month) is a monthly lunch gathering and support group for people with HIV/AIDS, at the Thai Red Cross Station #3 Chiang Mai. It regularly attracts 60-70 members to its lunches. Medical attention is available at each meeting, food and herbal medicines are also offered.

The lunches are also used as occasion for the home care team to monitor the health of club members. Finally, the club is the first stage in the project’s strategy of educating PWAs about self and home-care before serious illness has reduced their mobility and normal functioning. The monthly luncheon donation to support this Thursday Club is Baht 4,000. Make merit on your birthday this year by providing for this monthly luncheon group.
