Thanks to all for the tremendous support and cooperation at our Zonta Hawaiian Night on Friday, March 25, 2005. It was dazzling to see everyone dressed up in their best Hawaiian attire. Some great tales were overheard describing the frantic running around in the market when searching for Island wear - that included outfitting husbands and children! So sweet! Zonta Chiang Mai Club President Hope Watcharaprecha deeply appreciates all the effort

exerted in the spirit of friendship by selling tickets, collecting gifts for the lucky draw, welcoming guests, setting up booths to help our club, bringing in friends, participating in the entertainment and being emcee's. The fun filled few hours brought together Zontians from several clubs, Zontos (being husbands and Honorary Zonto Khun Bhaginai). More important friends of Zonta were the Wife of Deputy Governor of Lamphun Ms.Pongwiwan Vongleantong, the U.S. Consul General Beatrice Camp and husband David. It was great to welcome Presidents of several Chiang Mai clubs , namely, The Professional Business Women's Association, Rotary and Lion clubs. The Empress Hotel staff tied up all the loose ends behind the scene making it a night of dancing, drinking lovely wine. Listening to Sunny Elvis singing romantic songs from Blue Hawaii plus a medley of oldies brought back happy memories.
